I went on a cruise aboard the Norweigian Spirit from NY to Florida and the Bahamas. Let me first start off by saying that overall the cruise itself was great because of the friends and family I was with and the ports we visited were amazing. The stewardess on deck 11 was wonderful. She was the nicest lady who always had a smile on her face and made us laugh. She was the only nice crew member on board! This ship needs to take their crew members and teach them how to interact with people. The staff rarely smiled and were rarely friendly. They seemed as if they were miserable.

The freestyle dining was horrible. Every night it was a project just to get seated for dinner. We went to Windows one night and we waited an hour and a half just to be seated, let alone the wait time for the actual meal, which wasn't even good! My sister found a bug crawling out of her salad while we were there at windows, yummy! Basically the entire week we ate at blue lagoon. I ate french fries and rice all week long because that was the only decent food on the ship! So if you're excited about the food on this ship, sorry to let you down but it's awful! The specialty restaurants are better, if you can get a reservation!

We were only able to make a reservation at the Shogun the first night, after that we had to argue with the people at the reservation desk because all of the restaurants were supposedly booked for the entire week, meanwhile as you walked by them they were always empty! The buffet was awful as well. So instead of gaining weight on this cruise we all lost weight.
