I am a 22 year old college student who went with his father for his senior year spring break on the Jewel of the Seas. I am a first-time cruiser and my Dad is a second-timer (first time on the Sovereign).

We travelled on the JOS from 3/5 - 3/11 out of Fort Lauderdale with ports of call in Key West, Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Grand Cayman. The captain at the time was James Macdonald and the cruise director was Tim Seibert (although we were told he was substituting for someone else that week.) The weather was absolutely gorgeous the entire week so we had no difficulties there.

The ship itself is just as gorgeous as any of the other reviews on the site will tell you. She still has that 'brand new' feel to her, and I always saw the crew out and about cleaning something or another. Speaking of the crew, all of them were extremely courteous, friendly, and helpful.
