If you have never sailed from Galveston, it is a pain !! The 1.5 hours bus transfer from Galveston Limo, took over 3 hours!! To go 45 miles. Our friends that were cruising with us had an almost 5 hour bus ride, and she eventually told the bus driver to pull it over cause she was so hungry. Ridiculous... 2 airports, 6 terminals. People that had reservations were being told they had to wait on the next bus. It was a long day after traveling for 7 hours in airports from WA. state. I researched the transfer from the airport fairly extensively, I even called Houston's Bush airport, they told me Galveston Limo was the best way to get to Galveston. I told myself I would NEVER DO that again. Go through Miami they have an airport ! Another tip... DON'T PRE PAY !! You can set up your res. to pay the driver, you might be able to find a cheaper and more direct route, if you get bumped off.
I have been on 5 cruises now and I must say the Western Carib. itinerary was very average experience.
Rhapsody was a great ship and I would say the staff was one of the best I have ridden with, clean ship, great food and above average service all week long.
