This will be the first review I have written. I have enjoyed reading others reviews for several years and figured that it was about time that I helped someone else like those before me have helped me. This was our fifth cruise and the second one with the Princess line. My wife and I both enjoyed our Alaska cruise with Princess and looked forward to cruising with them again, and we were not disappointed. I found the whole experience to be excellent -- Excellent is Princesss new word for service and it met our expectations.

Our embarkation took about 20 minutes from the time we got in line until we were on the ship. We arrived at the dock at 11:30 a.m., and were sitting in our cabin by noon. Our cabin was amidships, on the Aloha deck and in very good condition. As the ten days passed, our steward, Paul, did an excellent job of keep the cabin in good shape. As always, by the time we had to get off the ship, we were spoiled by the way he took care of our needs.

We chose traditional dining and the early seating. We had a very nice table in the center of the Venetian dining room. I wish we had been given a table nearer the windows, but then, we might not have had Jorge as our waiter. This was Jorges first cruise after being off for a couple of months of vacation. I dont know if that was the reason or if it was just his style, but of all of the cruises we have been on, I found his service to be the best. He not only serviced us with professionalism, but also he was very personable and enjoyed talking with all of the people he served.
