Sail Date: Feb 2006

The original ship was to be the Infinity. Several months before sailing, the change was made to the Millennium. The ship is showing wear and tear. Wine and cocktail prices were outrageous. A bottle of Chilean wine which costs $8 in Chile was $30++ in the restaurant. Food was good; however, the French chef used quite a few sauces. Meats were not always tender, appetizers were odd at times and everyone had shrimp cocktail more than they would have ordinarily ordered it. Pastry chef, also French, only knew mousse. No pies, no cakes, only one coffee cake. We had quite a bit of ice cream for dessert.

Veranda cabin was adequate and cabin attendant was very accommodating and pleasant. There were many South Americans on the ship and it seemed as though they were catered to more so than anyone else.

The music in all lounges and the theater was so loud that one could not sit comfortably in any lounge and carry on a conversation. So loud as to give you a headache. Orchestra in the theater overpowered the entertainers.
