This was our first cruise and we were filled with wonder at the experience. We came onboard with absolutely no expectations so disappointment was not an option for us.

Alaska was beautiful to say the least, the Zaandam was an experience in and of itself. The cabin was spacious (although I was wishing I had of been able to spring for the extra space a balcony cabin would have given us by Day 5). The teak deck for morning strolls around the ship was a nice touch and first class style is evident throughout your daily interaction with all staff. Our cabin steward was especially attentive and our room was always cleaned by the time we returned even though we never really saw him hanging around. Read more
