Some background information: We are in our 30s with no children. This was our sixth cruise, second with Princess on the Caribbean Princess (Sept. 05 and this one) Obviously, we love the ship and itinerary. My husbands parents are in their early 60s and joined us on the cruise. This was their second cruise, first time on a Princess cruise.

Feb. 1st- 4th We left Kansas City and drove to St. Louis, picking up the in-laws along the way. We stayed at the La Quinta at Westport. We received free parking for 14 days along with a shuttle ride to/from the airport and breakfast for $85.21 incl. tax for four adults, which was cheaper than parking at the Lambert Airport. The hotel was very clean and nice. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We flew Southwest Airlines (our favorite airline) the following day, non-stop to Ft. Lauderdale /Hollywood Airport. We had a full-size car reserved with Alamo. The new rental car facility is very nice. It is just one floor from the SW terminal and you are there.
