Sapphire Princess

BACKGROUND: We were looking forward to our first cruise on Princess and our first to the Mexican Riviera. We have previously sailed on Royal Caribbean Monarch of the Seas, Celebrity Century and Constellation and Disney Magic and Wonder.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Disappointing. We have to admit the Constellation is a tough act to follow&but we knew that going into this. Also, this time of year expect many children. They did not bother us, but it was challenging to enjoy the pool or relax in a hot tub as they were overrun. The ship itself is nice, and well taken care of. The service is very sporadic. We had some great interactions and some awful ones. We really are laid back about cruising and do not expect 5 star service but there were times the staff was very rude&.but there were also staff that were helpful and friendly. However the general feeling on service was just average. We will go through each category to help you through your decision process. It was not horrible by any means, but we would not choose to travel on this ship with this staff on this itinerary again. Here is why&.
