Our Room: Where to begin...this was the first time we splurged and got an AB Penthouse (11018) which was worth the money. We arrived at the dock at 11:30am Sunday morning and didn't have a wait. We zipped through the general check-in without problems. Then we were escorted to a private room with snacks and beverages until our butler was available to personally escort us to our room. When we arrived at our room, it was breathtaking. Our bathroom was the size of an inside cabin. We were surprised to find four tvs in our room, three of which were plasma tv's. Our bathroom had a bathtub in addition to the shower stall, of which both had windows to look out to the water. Fabulous! We had fresh flowers and fruit in our room, in addition to a coffee machine that is available for purchase for a $1,500.00! Although our butler seemed unable to explain the coffee machine to us, I figured it out in 10 minutes. The refrigerator was small and filled with cans of pop and bottles of liquor available for purchase, we brought our own soda and water onto the ship. All of the beds in our cabin had down comforters an each room had its own climate control. The balcony's had two lounge chairs which were very comfortable. The ultra powerful hairdryers in the bathrooms were also nice. Our room had lots of closet space, an easy to use safe and was overall, perfect. The second bedroom in our cabin didn't have very much storage space, but because we had enough, we shared.
Service: Our butler was not of much use to us because it seemed I could never get ahold of him when needed. But we really didn't need him. Out butler delivered our breakfast each morning and that was about it. On the last full day of the cruise, we talked to him for our first "real" conversation. Our housekeepers name was Armondo and he was always friendly and took the time to learn our names. Each time we left the room, regardless of the time of day, he was always sure to say hello to each one of us by name.
