Boarding: We arrived in Galveston at 11:15 am. Porters were plentiful and bags were checked within two minutes. I left my wife at the pier and drove to park in Lot C. Quick transfer, back at the pier by 11:35 am. Boarding began at 11:45. The check-in process and boarding process are very efficient and pleasant. We boarded at 11:50 am.
Cabin: We had an outside cabin, deck 2. Surprise! Plenty of storage, comfortable, clean, bright and more sq footage than expected. Met our Cabin Steward, Roger. He was superb. We are experienced cruisers and anticipate attentive service. Roger exceeded our expectations. His towel animals were a hoot!
Public areas: Clean, bright, shining! The ship is in superb condition, we saw no soiled carpets, worn areas or any other problems...There were a few areas that needed painting and as the week progressed, sure enough, they were painted! Note, some idiot used a permanent marker to "trash" the hallway on Deck 4, Port side, with graffiti! Don't you wish there was some kind a of a "class" test they could give to folks before letting them on the ship? Cleaning crews worked on the walls quickly!
