Sadly the above was not in a good way. This was my fourth cruise, first time on Princess. I though this would be a good way to celebrate my in-laws 40th anniversary. My wife and her parent's had a wonderful time. Although I must say that the ship was quite awesome in design and scope, it was a lot of the small things that took a toll on me after 7 days.
We arrived at Port Everglades on Sunday Jan/22 to board the ship. From the greeting in the arrival area I could tell I was in for a very different experience from what I had become use to on the Celebrity ships. Rather than having a personal staff take us up to our suite on boarding the ship, Princess herded a group of ten of us into an elevator. We were dropped off at our respective floors and had to find our rooms and our way around the ship. I am glad to say that the room was ready and clean. The room was actually cool and the temperature controls actually worked very well. Yet, We had no robs. After making a call we were told none would be available until the next sailing day. When they did come, they 2 sizes too small. I can report though that the shower was great. The water had volume and was actually hot. The first night out of Port Everglades, the sea was "slight" but the rocking began. I guess my surprise was that for a ship of this size and with this much technology they would be able dampen the motion to a greater extent. The motion only got worse through out the cruise, personally I did not mind being 'rocked' to sleep each night, but I mention it to say that you will notice the significant rolling.
