Sail Date: Jan 2006

This was our first cruise with Princess, having sailed with NCL for the past 10 years. It opened our eyes to how much catching up NCL must do to compete with these new and elegant ships. We had a wonderful time.

We flew from Connecticut to LA. The personnel at the airport were a bit disorganized and some passengers complained that they had been waiting for a bus to the pier for over an hour. Our wait was approximately 20 minutes.

Embarkation was well organized although it did not appear so when we entered the terminal. They passed out boarding numbers freeing you to walk around instead of standing in line. The crew was very helpful, and we were in our cabin within 30 minutes of arrival.
