This Carnival Destiny turned out to be much better than I had expected. This was the 12th cruise my wife and I have been on and the third Carnival cruise. As usual, getting on was the usual hassle with long lines and slow movement. The Fun Pass turned out to be useless as it was never used and did not save us any time.

The ship itself was very impressive especially the large, tall, atrium. The veranda cabin was a little smaller than what we had expected but overall very nice. There was some rusting on the floor of the veranda but wasn't a big issue with us. Katarina, our room Steward, was very efficient and we looked forward to the usual towel animals each night. The dining room food (8:00 Seating) was plentiful and OK taste wise. Service by Oliver was excellent as was dining room beverage service by Olga.

The buffet restaurant always had a variety food and was a notch tastier than the dining room meals. The food highlites were the New York Deli (for lunch they had great NY style sandwiches - roast beef, pastrami, etc) and the endless midnight pizza.
