Three years ago I went on my 1st cruise and I almost cancelled after reading negative reviews, but I am so glad that I went on the cruise. I am now hooked and go every February. First of all I think the people who complain are probably just generally complainers, we all know somebody like this. Cruises are what you make of them, people who sit in their room and do not take advantage of all the activities and shows should not blame the ship for not having a good time. So if this is your first cruise, don't panic about bad reviews, just go and get involved, see the shows, go to the ports, the shows are great, the food is great. Okay, now I will get to the specifics.

Just the same as my last 2 cruises I just walked right on the ship without any hassle at all, I think the people who experience crowds must board right at noon, I go on a 2 and never see a crowd. Galveston was very user friendly, I checked in my baggage and then checked out the town adjacent to the ship, very convenient.

The ship was sold out but I never experienced one crowd except for one of the midnight buffets when they had the ice carving. I showed up at show time to all the shows and there was ample seating on the lower level to all the shows, never had a problem getting a good seat, which is different than my last two cruises. There was entertainment every night, sometimes two shows a night. They were all good. There were 3 comedians, one was great, 2 were okay, probably would have been better if I had not seen them before. The Vegas style shows were good. There is not one show that I would suggest missing. If you have late dinner, ,you go to the early show which is different than what I did on previous cruises.
