Embarkation - The embarkation process went as well as could be expected with almost 3,000 people trying to check in. Our normal size garment bag had to be folded in thirds to fit through the x-ray machine. We proceeded up the escalator to check in, show passports and get sail & sign cards. Much to our surprise, our seating had been changed from 5:45 to 8:00. We booked a year in advance and definitely were not smiling for our boarding pictures. We asked the maitre d' to change our seating and heard nothing back from him until Sunday afternoon. Fortunately we were changed back to 5:45 and only had to eat one night at the 8:00 seating.
Cabin - We booked a "guaranteed" ocean view for the first time and were pleasantly surprised with the size and location of the room they selected for us. At times it was a little noisy (pipes, etc.), but the bed was extremely comfortable. Our room steward was very friendly and called us by our names every time he saw us. It's amazing he is able to do that with different passengers every week.
Getting Around - It takes a while to figure out you can't go from the front of the ship to the back of the ship on decks 3 & 4 because of the Golden Dining Room. Deck 5 (casino, shops) goes straight through. Our cabin was on deck 1, so we always walked to one end or the other on our floor before going up.
