This was our second cruise my wife and I had taken, but it was the first cruise with our 3 year old son. We had previously taken a 3 day cruise from los Angeles to Ensenada with Royal Caribbean.

We started our vacation by staying 4 days in Puerto Rico prior to getting on the Ship in San Juan. San Juan was soooo much fun, we thoroughly enjoyed it. 2 Restaurants I would highly recommend are Ajili Mojilli in the Condado area and Aquaviva in Old San Juan we had amazing meals at both of these restaurants.

We stayed at the Marriott in Condado for the 4 days and we had a great time being right on the Beach and our son loved the huge kids Pool they have that is only 1 1/2 feet deep, he wanted to spend more time in that then near the ocean. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel is when you walk into the hotel you get hammered by the smell of Cigarette smoke, I know its something you have to deal with in foreign lands, but it was pretty unpleasant. I think in the future I will pay a little extra and stay at a Westin resort because they are all smoke free now.
