This is my first review of my first cruise so my sense of wonder and excitement will likely show through. My wife and I traveled with her parents and Aunt and Uncle. Embarkation was a breeze...we were in line outside for 30 minutes and inside for another 30. We were very pleased with our cabin and set about exploring the ship. It was gorgeous.

We were in an extended balcony on deck 7 so we walked up two flights to the LIDO deck and grabbed a burger and listened to the music.

Things that were great. Our cabin steward, James was remarkable and did a great job keeping things neat, ice bucket filled, and towel animals were fun. Our waiter and asst. waiter were awesome. Nigel and Srdan were fun and provided an excellent dining experience. Some of the food in the Normandie was very good...some not so great but every meal had something you could enjoy. We did not try the supper club...next time we will. There was a lot of different food on the LIDO deck and we had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there a few times. I preferred breakfast in the Normandie however because the eggs on the Lido deck were not to my liking. I used the gym almost every day and it was excellent. Plenty of equipment and not too crowded. The showers at the spa are not to be missed. Individual shower rooms and large showers with 5 adjustable nozzles. Much nicer than the cabin showers (and those aren't bad).
