Sail Date: Jan 2006

This sailing of the Lirica (01-07-06 to 01-13-06) was a special Music Charter called Jam Cruise 4, Produced by Cloud 9 Adventures LLC. Based in south, Fl. So as you might imagine this was not the typical MSC sailing by far. The ship which is almost always filled with the senior market, a usual 60/40 split International to American, was now taken over by a 30 something crowd of mostly American music fans and musical bands from the Jam band genre. The mix of live musicians, DJS and special guests made for an experience that cannot be rivaled by any music land festival, especially when you take out the mud factor and ability to shower and eat when and where you want. Oh not to mention the fact that your sailing on a immaculate floating resort, which with each new day presents a new Caribbean Island or leisurely day at sea to be explored.

As you check your bag curbside you are greeted by Sirius Satellite Radio playing your favorite Jam band tunes. They brought onboard DJ, Buddy Cage, from the famed New Riders of the Purple Sage.

The whole check-in process was smooth from start to finish. The check-in staff was thrown a curve ball early on by having to check in guests who had electronic tickets or no tickets at. But they did it all in stride and never seemed to get congested for very long.
