Our cruise was actually January 2, 2006, but this site is not yet updated for "06 cruises. This was my 4th Disney cruise and probably the best one yet. We traveled with a large school group - about 120 people, including students, parents and siblings. Although this was a blackout date for group sailings, Disney did a great job in linking all of our individual bookings together so that we all were seated together at dinner.

Passenger/Luggage drop off and parking - Easier than expected. My husband usually is in the driver's seat, but he wasn't here this time. I was very pleased with how easy it was to get everyone out and park. Embarkation was a breeze. Over the years, Disney has really streamlined the process and has lots of agents available to check you in. Also, additional staff members to help make sure documentation is all in order before you even get to the check in desks. Helps to avoid waiting in long lines. It took us about 20 - 25 minutes to get everything done and board the ship. If you arrive early, you get a card with a number 1 - 8 on it and you board in groups as they call your number. Plenty of seating while you wait. We arrived around 12:00 p.m. and all groups were allowed to board at that time. Only about 10 people in front of us! It was great!

Lunch buffet was great as usual. This time Disney was taking extra precautions with health issues. Hand sanitizer stations and wipes at every restaurant entrance as well as gloved staff members serving you at the buffet lines and soda machines. Guests do not touch food service utensils. (This was a change from our November cruise). Dinners were wonderful. I love the fact that kids can try out new foods in the restaurant and if they don't like it can order something else and no one looks at them like they are crazy or spoiled! Our wait staff was very entertaining! We had two birthdays while on board and each was treated as a special guest! Entertainment - Disney does it right! The talent on board is second to none and the shows are all family friendly. The cast members are great! Disney Dreams will always be my favorite show. I cried at the end of this last one (because I knew it would be awhile before I get back). Maybe I'm just a big kid - but I love all of the songs from my favorite Disney movies. Props and costumes and special effects are incredible!
