Sail Date: Dec 2005

We chose to have our wedding and honeymoon on this cruise. The Wedding - Organized through Carnival (The Wedding Experience). They were well organized and everything went smoothly. The wedding was actual held in the Library of the ship on embarkation day. We and our guests arrived early, boarded the ship and then had the wedding before the ship sailed. Then our guests depart the ship and we continue on the cruise. Most went well, but Carnival was not ready for our guests when they arrived early, even though they arrived at the time specified by Carnival.

The Food - We ate dinners in the Pride dining room. Service was very good, selection was good some nights, just ok on other nights. For the most part, the food was quite appetizing. We had breakfast and lunch in the Horizon Bar and Grill. Lunch had a lot of variety and was quite good. Breakfast food was always the same. Could have had more selection.

Excursions - BEWARE! We were supposed to go to Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios. There is no pier in Grand Cayman, so tenders are used to shuttle people from the boat. If the water is choppy, they will not run the tenders and then it is quite possible that you can't leave the boat at Grand Cayman. BE AWARE. This happens quite often at which point you have one more day at sea. They do credit you $25/person if it is cancelled, but it didn't seem enough since we missed a port. We did stop at Ocho Rios. Somewhat touristy, but overall it was a nice stop. Somewhat disappointing is that we did the snorkeling at Dolphin Cove. The reef was disappointing and there wasn't much to see.
