This is certainly the best and most economical way to sample all the major islands in a short time. as far as a "cruise experience" however it has many shortcomings.

The "Free Style" concept of dining which Norwegian seems to pride itself on is in my personal opinion a disaster. Very long waits to dine (up to one hour) closed dining room (without notice) for a "corporate event", many items on the menu that we are "out of ", slow service and generally uninspiring food. On two occasions the writer missed the evening show after waiting 45 minutes to be seated for dinner because we could not get in and out on time.

Our stateroom was small but quite pleasant; the major problem being that except in the late evening no one made up the room and we were required to personally remove our breakfast trays upon arriving back on the ship in the late afternoon. This in all fairness was not a policy of the ship but more of a lack of efficient oversight of the steward staff who we hardly ever saw.
