Ship Facts: Carnival Glory Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Glory Deck Plans
Carnival Glory - Western Caribbean
My wife and I just got back from our Western Caribbean cruise on the Carnival Glory, sailing on 12/17/05 and returning 12/24/05. This is our forth cruise, all with Carnival, and we had a wonderful time!

General information, the ship is beautiful and spotless! All of the service personnel, ship officers, and crew members were very friendly and did everything they could to make our vacation better. The weather was not very accommodating; it was cold the first day but was nice for the next two days. It was cloudy and raining in Belize and Costa Maya.

We spent the night, on 12/16 at the Best Western Oceanfront Resort and paid $98 for the night and left our car at the resort, this saved us the $70.00 to park at the terminal. The shuttle was good ($16.00 round trip for the both of us) and they dropped us off right at the ship.

Embarkation: After reading several horror stories here at Cruise Critic, we were not sure as to what we will be experiencing. The shuttle dropped us off at 11:20 am and we were eating lunch at the Red Sail Restaurant at 11:50!

Cabin: Our cabin was perfect! We had a balcony cabin on the ninth deck. Our cabin steward was the best we had on all our cruises.

Dinning: We had requested the 8:00 PM seating and we received the 8:30 seating in the Golden Dinning room. After seeing the Maitre D, we were scheduled for the 8:00 PM seating in the Platinum Dinning room. Our headwaiter and waiter were great! The food was very plentiful and great!

Activities: The Cruise Director (Mark Price) and Assistant Cruise Director (Wee Jimmie) are priceless! The made everything they were in charge of fun, pleasant, and made us felt great for being there. There was so much to do on the ship that sometimes we had to make a choice of what to attend.

Key West: Was not happy of the disembarkation method at this port. Once we did get into town, it was very lovely.

Belize: This port did not impress us at all. The method of getting to the tender boats was very much improved over Key West. We disembarked the tender boat, there was armed guards all around. We did some shopping and eat lunch. We returned to the ship early!

Costa Maya: This port was pretty but the weather was not good, so we shopped and returned to the ship.

Debarkation: Was at well organized at the Embarkation.

Overall: We have decided that when we go to the Eastern Caribbean cruise, we will be sailing on the Carnival Glory again. And that is saying a lot since we have not sail the same ship twice before!
