We sailed Destiny 12/11-12/18 and have cruised Carnival before and must say that this trip makes me not want to cruise Carnival again. I don't want to bore you with details that are unimportant so I will tell you the highlights and the disappointments that I think you should hear about.

First let me start by saying that I am 24 years old and I went with my boyfriend who is 25. We love the beach, sun, partying, etc. So we don't vacation for lots of peace and quiet if you catch my drift. People vacation for different reasons so I figured I should let you know that I expect to have FUN on vacation and not just chill out and read books.

HIGHLIGHTS: St. Thomas-Absolutely beautiful, Magen's Bay is a "must-see" if you are a beach lover. We did the Ultimate Island Excursion and found it to be worth the $$$. They took us on a nice tour with some stops for pictures, shopping, etc. and then dropped us at Magen's Bay for 2 1/2 hours. Barbados- Boatyard Beach is a great time. $12 for a chair and a free drink and use of the water trampolines, water iceberg, rope swing, etc. Party atmosphere with mix of old and young people. Aruba- LOVED IT!! We will be vacationing there next winter without a doubt. We went to Palm Beach which is in the hotel zone and did the banana boats, got GREAT tans, and drank some great long island iced teas at the oceanside bar. Oh yeah, that bar has thee best cheeseburgers I've ever had in my life!! We rented beach chairs for $8 each and the water activity companies kind of hounded us to get our business. I can see there is a lot of competition since it is a public beach. Went back to the boat, showered quickly and headed for Carlos & Charlies where we had the best time of the entire cruise. We drank out of yard glasses ($12 each), but lasted for the hour and a half we were there and got me more than tipsy! We were sad that our time in Aruba had to end and the group we were with was probably one of the last groups to get back on the ship before sailing away!
