Sailed the POA on 12/3 with my wife. This was our 4th cruise, 2nd time on NCL. (Princess to Alaska, Renaissance to Tahiti, NCL Norway to Caribbean). Read all the reviews on CruiseCritic.com so my expectations were low to cautious.
Taxi ride to port from Honolulu $30 including tip. Embarkation a breeze since we arrived late, around 6:00 PM. I was able to get liquor on board without issue in our checked baggage during embarkation. I had read on this board that they check.
Stayed in a room 10161, which I would NOT recommend. It is right below the Aloha Cafe kitchen, so you hear rolling of food prep carts during Cafe hours. (Starts at 6 AM and ends at 10 PM) We always get cheapest inside stateroom and our room was largest we have been in. Bathroom was huge. Very pleased. Cabin steward was avg. Took me a day to make her understand that we wanted ice each evening. Took us 2 days to get our safe opened up (last passenger did not open before they left).
