Sail Date: Nov 2005

This was our first time sailing on Carnival. The worst problem was that we had booked late sitting for supper, thinking that the shows would be before dinner, like the last few cruises we had taken, about 5 yrs. ago. Early dinner people had a show at 8:30 pm and since our dinner was for that time, the show was scheduled for 10:30. Both my husband and I normally retire at 10pm. We did see one show which was good, Rock Down Broadway, we heard the other show was also good.

Another problem was the wait to board. 2 hrs. We did get at the pier around 12pm, which we were told to be there around 1:30 pm.

During the 8 night cruise, we only ate in the dining room 3 times. The food was good but small portions, tell the waitress if you see something you like, bring 2 of them. We found the Lido buffet was really good, but during the day they had 4 lines going, and the wait sometimes was a bit much. The desserts were on the other side which was quick. Another day we tried the fish and chips. It was good, the the menu was the same every day of the cruise. I would liked to have had fried shrimp and scallops on it. One day we tried the room service, the menu isn the book in your room. That was good.
