Had a great time. Embarkation was easy as we did the online registration so things went very fast. Had a balcony cabin and our steward was very good at keeping everything neat. Not an easy thing to do with 2 eight y/o's in the room. Not able to dock in Key West due to high winds. Bad for us as one daughter slipped the night before in splash pool and broke her 2 front teeth (permanent). We really needed to get her to a dentist but no such luck until we got home. Cozumel was nice except for all the damage from Wilma. The locals were very glad to see all the tourists and took good care of us. They have worked very hard to get things ready. It is very strange seeing the island with absolutely no foliage. Belize is interesting but do not cruise around town outside the port facility. Everything is barred and quite dangerous according to a local cop we met. Stick to organized tours.
The ship was very nice and kept that way by a great crew. We really enjoyed the Schooner Bar. We would have liked the Viking except it smells too much like smoke...at all times. We never used the casino. Our servers were awesome considering four of them had to take care of 27 people and they never knew where we all were going to sit from one day to the next. Windjammer also nice.
Food...the food was good. Not great, just good. Plenty of everything served beautifully. As this was a Thanksgiving cruise, they decided to serve a turkey dinner. I do not recommend it. Take my advice...if you want a holiday meal, cook it yourself. Whatever anyone else cooks will be a disappointment to you because it is not your way or tradition. Nuff said. I thought the food in the Windjammer was pretty good with plenty of it. Had breakfast and lunch here and always found something I wanted, even if it was just a salad. Used the spa for a Swedish Massage. Had a nice Irish lass get all the kinks out of my back from the terrible mattresses they have. She did a great job and was not pushy in any way about selling products. I appreciated that.
