This is our 6th cruise and found the Legend to be a great ship but the room and 1 tour in Belize was much to be desired.
Outside room. Mattress had springs poking thru and pillows were those cheap "flat as a pancake" type. Our room Steward (Owen Cash) was gracious and was helpful as he could. He put one of those foam pads on top of the mattress. This improved the problem. No help with the pillows though. Room was always warm even with thermostat turned to the coolest setting. Owen placed service call but A/C was never fixed.
DO NOT TAKE THE JUNGLE BUGGY TOUR in Belize!!!!
We drove 2 hours, 1 hour on a unpaved, muddy and slippery potholed road we ever seen ! We expected to go thru a tropical rain forest and see Birds or something. We just drove thru these woods, walked thru 10' of cave that was supposed to be an ancient Mayan burial ground. It was complete with fake Mayan Pottery strewn around. We told RCL Purser desk and filed a report. Many others did too we were told. Take another tour- Don't waste $ 100 bucks each.
Ok, with the complaints out of the way let me say the Legend is in fine shape. Wait staff and all crew were Extremely pleasant and helpful. Food Above average. Shows were so so. Embarkation and debarkations were one of the best we ever experienced. Great Job! Booze waiters were not annoying ! Finally a cruise were we were not badgered to get drinks. Waiters were always there, if you asked they served, otherwise leave you alone..This was a great change.
This ship also requires you to sanitize your hands before and after boarding, and at each entry point for food. I think this was great. Keeps germs at bay. Captain was very informative, friendly and funny too.
Entire ship had Carpets and fixtures/furniture replaced in April and it looks great. Its a shame beds and A/C were not changed out too...
Overall we believe this was an excellent cruise value. We think you will have a great time.
