CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED! VERY DISAPPOINTING IN MANY WAYS!
This was our 10th cruise and 1st on Princess. We have sailed on Holland, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival. So we feel we have a lot of areas for comparison. My husband is a 53 year old software engineer and I am a 47 year old homemaker. We have travelled the world and take about 5 nice trips a year and have experienced a lot of fine hotels and dining. Embarkation was smooth and orderly, but looked really dumpy compared to others I've seen. Cabin was decent but small. Have had suites and they are definitely worth the extra money. Next stop buffet. Major zoo. Most of the food looked good but severely lacking taste. Could definitely use better traffic pattern. The ship is very pretty and well kept. You can feel a definite shuttering and rocking every second it moves. So if motion bothers you I would definitely avoid this ship.
For the most part the staff seems pretty arrogant and borders on rude. The exception being Miguel, our cabin steward whom usually had a smile or Garnett from Jamaica in the Atrium lounge, and a nice indian boy, drink server seen around the pool and other venues.
