Sail Date: Oct 2005

This was the first cruise for both of us and was our honeymoon cruise. We had originally chosen to sail out of New Orleans, but obviously that got altered. Carnival was so easy to work with on changing our cruise over to Miami and gave us $200 in shipboard credit, which definitely was nice when we got the bill that last day! There were quite a few other honeymooning couples on the cruise, and we were seating at dinner with a couple who had been married on the same day as us, but there was a variety of ages on the ship. There weren't a LOT of children, but enough that they seemed to be having a good time together. There were some older folks, too. The majority probably sat in the 20-50 range.

Embarkation looked like it was going to take a while by the size of the line and some lady even shouted "YOU CALL THIS THE QUICK CHECK IN LINE?!?" when she saw it, but we couldn't have stood there for more than 5-10 minutes. They whisked us right onto the boat in no time. We had no idea what to do since we'd never done it before, but everything was so organized and easy it was great.

We chose to have an inside stateroom off advice from a family member. Next time we will definitely get ocean view, but it wasn't bad. We expected small and it was. The only thing that irritated us was the old Zenith TV with a blown speaker we had in there- but it kept us from loafing off and just watching TV all day. We spent some time in our room, what with all the changing and such you do, and slept in a couple days. There was so much to do, though, that we wanted to enjoy it all.
