Well....it couldn't have been better! What's not to love about the Caribbean Princess and all she offers! She's a beautiful ship filled with beautiful people. With the Captain & many of the upper-level crew being Italian, the Italian influence is one of graciousness and GREAT food! The seas were rough as we left FLL...though the night and first full day...but the CB was graceful & protective on our journey toward our Ports of Call.

Embarkation was easy...especially under the circumstances. Hurricane Wilma had torn through downtown Fort Lauderdale & the Port just a few days before our sailing. We had to cancel our pre-cruise plans because our hotel was damaged & closed. We drove down to FLL the day of the cruise seeing damage all along the Turnpike beginning at Martin County. The Port didn't have any elevator service from the parking garage, but even still, we made it to the line by 11:30 and were comfortably in our awesome balcony cabins on the Riviera Deck (R-247 & R-243) by 12:30. Our cabins were spotlessly clean with crisp, fresh linens you could bounce a quarter off of the whole week. It was exceptionally quiet. We never heard a single outside sound during the whole week...other than the sound of the sea when our sliding door was open...which was each & every night! The location was great because we were on the Starboard side toward the front of the ship on an even level with the bridge. It was fun to be able to watch Captain Romano during berthing & departure from our Ports of Call. The Starboard side was fun because we passed by many islands while Southbound and when in port, we had wonderful views. We were able to open the balcony divider between our 2 cabins, which made our balcony double-sized & our cabins accessible to each other without going out into the hallway. What a nice surprise!

Our Steward, Angelo, was a happy, singing, attentive gentleman who couldn't do enough to see that we had a wonderful cruise. He treated us like royalty...as did every single other crew member on the ship. Each and every one was always smiling & happy with a greeting for you at every turn. If you don't get smiles, greetings and great service on the Caribbean Princess, it's probably because you're not being friendly yourself!!
