Well, we cruised 10 Oct...and then spent 1 glorious week in S Fla, leaving just before Wilma arrived! So, having had some time to think about it, here is my Fascination review!

First off, I only paid $249pp for this cruise, so I got a good deal! We had an Inside Guarantee, and did NOT get upgraded. But-we were directly across from my folks, who paid for an outside cabin. The ONLY difference between our rooms was that they had a window; and paid $100pp more for it!

But, I want to go in order: So, Embarkation-First off, Miami is under construction(and has been for over a year), Yikes! Thank god I wasn't driving. When you get to the right building, the porters tell you which room you have, which was good to finally know. And they take your bags(which Carnival recommends you lock-buy some cheap zipties & bring a nail clipper), which is convenient. And then you go inside, while someone parks the car. You must pay in advance to park in the parking garage! Once your party rejoins, you go through a metal detector (airport style)& then get in line. Carnival tells you that doing your sign & sail online makes it go faster-unless 800 other folks have done the same thing! So, we waited in line for about 20 min, & they ran our credit card, stamped some paperwork, & sent us upstairs. Where we waited in line #2! to get our sail/sign card & our room key(old plastic cards with holes punched in them, cool). Then we waited in line #3!!! for almost 40 minutes, to have homeland security/immigration officials check our ids! Now, I personally feel that they should do that part first, so I don't have to wait in line with the criminals (thanks US gov't).
