Arrived at Honolulu Airport. Rented a one-way car from National at Honolulu Airport on Friday and dropped off the car on Saturday at National at 1778 Ala Moana Blvd. No drop charges. National is located in Discovery Bay condo complex across the street from the Renaissance Ilikai Waikiki Hotel (approximately 8 miles from airport). Hotel located close to Waikiki Beach and ship terminal. National's shuttle will take you to the ship terminal free of charge.

ABC stores are on almost every corner in Honolulu/Waikiki area. They sell can or bottled sodas, bottled water, and alcohol.

NCL scans your luggage for alcohol and searches your carry-ons at Honolulu. NCL confiscates your alcohol and will return it to you Friday night and Saturday morning prior to disembarkation. However on the first day, you have to go down to the 3rd level and open up your suitcase and remove the alcohol. Then, you get your suitcase less the confiscated alcohol. The suitcases that pass the scan are delivered to your room. ***Tip*** 1) buy small mini (50 ml) bottles of alcohol at ABC's that have plastic caps and pack in your suitcase and; 2) buy and carry-on 1.5 liters of wine and pay the $15 corkage to NCL for each bottle. If you buy the 750 ml bottle of wine, NCL charges $15 corkage per each bottle and you would pay $30 for 2 - 750 ml bottles. Wine is $6.00 - $6.50 per glass on the ship.
