Traveled with children

We chose Carnival Cruise Line due to the Camp Carnival children's program, as we have a non-potty trained child less than three years old. We were not disappointed. The Camp Carnival staff was excellent, and at no time did I ever question the safety or security of my child. The program had new activities every 15-30 minutes to keep the children busy. Sign-in and sign-out was strict. When I called to check on my child at times, staff was friendly. My child obtained a small scratch on his wrist during play somehow, and when I picked him up it was a huge concern to the Camp staff. This showed me how much they care about the children. My child loved the Camp and it was difficult to get him away with us for activities as he wanted to return.

I also found the fitness staff to be wonderful, adjusting class pace to suit those in the class.

The food was average; I had an early dinner seating and most with early seatings had a better quality experience than the late seating. The late seating folks complained of cold food, and overdone food. The service on the dining team in the Golden dining room was excellent. Buffet food was average to good, but lines did get clogged up at times during breakfast and lunch. The grill was excellent as was the deli. We found the Emerald Supper Club to be overrated and ate there only once (we eat out often and border on dining critics); although the service and live entertainment was a very nice touch.
