Needless to say, after reading numerous negative reviews concerning the Pride of America, we were not anxiously awaiting this cruise, in fact, we tried to cancel the trip. It is a pleasure to state that this cruise was fantastic! None of the negative reviews that we read were found to be true.

The staff aboard Pride of America did everything possible to make this cruise outstanding. The food was excellent, the entertainment was great, the service was fantastic, and the ship himself was spotless and beautiful. The Aloha Cafe was an excellent place for breakfast and lunch. We enjoyed on the outdoor area of the cafe. The variety of food was excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful. You need to remember to go through the first part of the cafe to reach the outdoor seating area. This could be missed. We ate at all of the other restaurants except the Lazy J Steakhouse.

Would like to offer you some tips concerning the restaurants: the first nite aboard is two for one night at the speciality restaurants. We ate at the Jefferson Bistro and had great seabass. The cover charge was $10 instead of $20. This is not common knowledge to the tourists. Read more
