Had a great cruise out of San Diego, but it demonstrated why you must give yourself a LOOONNG lead time for your flights out. Our ship arrived 6 hours late into San Diego because of fog. I can only imagine the scrambling that went on among passengers rebooking flights at smallish Lindbergh Field due to the delay! Our return was delayed, too, but only two hours, due to headwinds and currents, plus the inconsideration of non-citizens who refused to go to Customs despite numerous announcements. People on our cruise missed flights, too. Glad we were driving!
That said, some other advice: --You can now review your bill on the TV throughout the cruise. Check this out. We found a misbilling and got it removed without having to deal with the thundering hoards at the Purser's desk at the end of the cruise.
--I've been asked if this itinerary (Mexican West Coast, Manzanillo, Ixtapa/Zihuatenejo, Acapulco) is rougher than the Caribbean. I've been on cruises in both and you definitely knew you were moving on Spirit. I never get sick and didn't feel uncomfortable on this one, but in bed, six decks up, you could feel the motion.
