Customer Service
Issue # 1 - Norwegian's customer service is horrible. Three letters were sent to Norwegian Cruise Lines on September 18, 2005, prior to sailing. One was sent to Latitudes in Florida, one to Customer Service in Florida, and one to their main office in Norway. We received a generic postcard postmarked September 29 that one of our letters had been received. Our ship sailed on October 16. As of October 25, two days after returning from the cruise, we still have not received a response.
Issue # 2 - Our cruise was originally scheduled to sail out of New Orleans. After Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, the port was changed to Houston. We were told that we had a choice: to cancel our cruise by the end of September for a full refund, or receive a $50 per person credit off of our ship bill. We chose the credit. We did not receive it. At the Customer Service desk when questioning our bill for the missing credit, they refused to give us the credit. We were not "on their list". They did not even apologize. We were given a 1-800 number to call. We are still attempting to get our credit from NCL after returning from the cruise.
