As newlyweds, my husband and I sailed on the Star Princess on our honeymoon. This was my ninth cruise and my husbands first, however this was my first time on Princess. In the future, Princess will be my cruise line of choice. We could not have chosen a better option.

We flew into Fort Lauderdale the day after the wedding, Sunday morning. When we arrived, a Princess representative informed us that the boat was delayed in arriving from Europe and that embarkation would not take place until later that evening. As a result, our itinerary was changed a bit meaning that we visited the islands in reverse order. So Princess arranged for everyone to go to the Embassy Suites (they provided the transportation) for a lunch buffet until it was time to board the ship at 5pm. My husband and I decided to eat brunch and then take a cab to the local shopping mall to pick up some last minute things.

We boarded the ship around 6pm and embarkation took around 30 minutes, the lines went very fast. We went directly to our room and were pleased to find balloons outside our door celebrating our honeymoon.
