We just returned from a week aboard the Golden Princess (10/8-15/05). Last year I sailed onboard the Raddison Mariner and was told that I had been spoiled to have been onboard the Mariner first and that no ship could compare to Raddison quality.

The Golden Princess was FABULOUS! The weather was rainy and the seas rough. The colors that we hoped to see were nonexistent.

Halifax was closed for a National Holiday on the day we arrived. Certainly a lot of things to complain about, yet, I can't complain. I had a wonderful time. We refused to get off the ship to see Newport, Rhode Island - the ship and its activities seemed much more interesting to us than seeing a rainy port. Read more
