Having cruised on the Dawn Princess in February of this year, we were so looking forward to this cruise. We'd only cruised on Celebrity before, and while we love them, we'd found the Dawn Princess to be comparable quality but a better value.

So...we were SO DISAPPOINTED with this cruise. From start to finish I felt like all the staff had a "get it yourself" attitude. Barely concealed rudeness and disdain when you showed your pop sticker and asked for a soda, trying to find a table in the buffet area and being told by a worker (who was just standing around) "just walk around until you find a place". Dining room servers with no attempt at friendliness, at least not until the last two nights when we had a fantastic server who treated us great (she had JUST been made a waiter that cruise, so I guess the bad attitude pervasive on the ship hasn't tainted her yet).

The Fun Zone workers (with the exception of the older woman) were HORRIBLE. It was like a badly run daycare, with the workers sitting around talking and the kids zoning out on video games. My kids usually LOVE the kids area on ships (Celebrity Summit three times, Princess Dawn once), and I couldn't keep my 6 year old in it this time. He would cry when I'd try to take him there, whereas he used to cry when I'd come to take him out of the other programs.
