Our departure from the UK was delayed for several hours due to a bomb scare at Manchester airport lucky that we were flying out on the 23th Sept a couple of days prior to the cruise departing, the guy with the briefcase that was wandering around the tarmac at Manchester airport was arrested haven't heard anything since returning home. This was to be my eight cruise, my first with RCCL although I had done quite a few ship visits on previous RCCL ships during my time in the industry. On my arrival at Port Canaveral after staying a couple of nights in Orlando we were surprised at the speedy embarkation and although we had booked an inside cabin on deck 10 (my husband is a smoker and needs easy access to the outside decks) it was ideal and the room much more spacious than our previous cruise on the QM2.

After a tour of the ship, I can only say it has the 'WOW' factor I could not believe the thought that had gone into the decor and facilities for the guests, from quite solarium pool for us older ones to a family entertainment pool area for the younger crowd, (we spent a good 99% of our time here watching the entertainment and listening to the Reggie band. The service is the best I have ever had on a cruise ship, the staff must be really happy as they were friendly, polite and could not do enough for you. I looked forward to entering my cabin each evening to see what great creation would be waiting for me made out of my towels from monkeys hanging over my bed to a dog wearing my reading glasses. The food court and dining room were superb, there was always something for everyone and speciality restaurants and Johnny Rockets were a bonus. (Could do with a few more coffee stations around the ship though) although the cafe on deck 5 was great for coffee and snacks at any time day or night, sometimes it was a pain to wait for the lift down from deck 10 if the buffet restaurant was not open.

The ice show was magic, and the broadway shows excellent!!!
