Sail Date: Sep 2005

We just returned from our cruise on the Rhapsody. We were on the ship the week of Sept. 18 when Hurricane Rita decided to show up in Galveston. So needless to say our cruise for 7 days was 10 days, I really hated that! Just kidding. Royal Caribbean went over and above to make sure we were informed and safe.

Embarkation went very smooth. We were there early and did the paper work online so we were through the check in quickly and boarded about 1130am. Rooms were not ready until 130pm so we ate in the Windjammer buffet. We had a grand suite it was very nice lots of room and a huge balcony.

Our first stop was Ocho Rios, Jamaica. We enjoyed our excursion tubing on the white river and beach break. That evening is when we were informed that we would be adding Montego Bay to our ports and running 1 day late in our other ports Grand Cayman and Cozumel. They would let us know later when or if we could return to Galveston. We enjoyed our day in Montego Bay taking a taxi to doctors cave beach and walked to Margaritaville from there did a little shopping then back to the ship. Grand Cayman we also went to seagrape beach then did a little shopping we had been to Stingray City before if you have not done this you should. Cozumel we have been there before mostly diving, this time we rented a jeep and drove around the island there is only one road so you can't get lost. We had a great time the only problem is if you want to go into town parking is very limited and it's hard to find a parking place the cost was not bad $44 for the day.
