My husband, daughter (22), and I left on this cruise on September 17th from San Francisco, CA, full of trepidation because of the reviews we had been reading on this site. We were so pleasantly surprised that our experience was quite the opposite.

The embarkation went very well. The wait was reasonable, only 15 minutes. As we arrived late (4 pm) our cabin was ready. When we walked up to our cabin on deck 10, we were met by our steward, Andrzej. He warmly welcomed us and this set the tone for the entire cruise. Our cabin was clean and we felt very pampered by Andrzej. He worked so hard, cleaned the room every morning, in the evening he made up the sofa bed, turned down our bed (with a chocolate on the pillow) and cleaned again. We were very lucky to have him. We even got the beautiful towel swan for us and an elephant for my daughter. Very creative. The cabin was small but fit us three comfortably with plenty of storage (put your luggage under the bed).

We did not get a top sheet either but that did not bother us because the comforter is covered and the covers are changed. Shower water was warm almost immediately after it was turned on. Shower stall was very compact, such that I had to turn off the water to lather up, but hey, maybe that's a good conservation effort!
