Experienced cruisers but 1st time on RCI, we used info gained from browsing & participating on the boards to our advantage.

We arrived at the pier & dropped off luggage with porters, parked car in enclosed parking garage, went through security, checked in and proceeded to board ship at 11:30am.

Lunch at Windjammer and Jade was wonderful. Stateroom was ready by 1:00pm and fully decorated for my birthday, thanks to my sister in law, Moments upon being in the room our luggage arrived-hint always tip the porter, sister in law didn't, her luggage arrived at 6:30pm. Our room was tasteful, clean and comfortable and kept that way by Wayan & Henry. Verandah was nice. Extra towels were always available. We were on deck 9 near the Centrum lifts in the center of the ship. Rooms are larger here due to bevel in ship.
