Friday - Pre-Cruise

After a year of eager anticipation, we arrived in Fort Lauderdale on Friday - six of us - husband and myself, 13 and 18-year-old daughters, 22-year-old daughter and her boyfriend. We flew Spirit out of Providence, had a smooth flight, and sailed through security very quickly. We stayed at the Sheraton FLL Airport hotel, reserved through Priceline for the one night and arrived there by hotel shuttle from the airport. They gave us two corner rooms, high enough up so that we could even spot the Caribbean Princess in the distance. The hotel car drove us to a nearby shopping area for lunch and to pick up wine and soda. The concierge also arranged a ride to the Port for us the next morning. The staff was friendly and we were very happy with the hotel.
