Carnival Glory - Western Caribbean
Destination: Western Caribbean
Embarkation: Port Canaveral (Orlando)
Once on board the Glory, our room keys did not work. Nor, did half the other keys on the ship. The Pursers office was overwhelmed. The crew seemed unconcerned and no announcements were made until prompted by the guests. Finally, after 45 minutes a crew member came by with a master key and let us in our room.
The food was fine and what we generally expected. The main dining room staff was wonderful and seemed to really be interested in our enjoyment.
The entertainment was first rate and worth the price of More the cruise. The live orchestra was absolutely fantastic. Their "big band" concerts are not to be missed. The only exception was the hypnotist; he was absolute waste of time.
The ports were fine as well. Unfortunately, we disembarked at the Navy pier in Key West. This caused a great deal of wasted time, shuttles, and incredible waits. Cozumel was great as usual. Progresso was a bit depressing, but the people were great. We tried to lie on the beach, but were continuously hounded by vendors. Belize was also a bit depressing. We very much enjoyed our excursion to Altun Ha & Belize City Tour. The people were great and did everything possible to make our tour enjoyable.
Carnival is a great line and we will cruise with them again. Less
