Sailing with Wife and Two Kids both 10 years old. Embarkation From Vancouver - Canada Place.

First Thoughts Vancouver is a beautiful city you should try to come in a day or two early and see the sights. Stanley Park is very impressive. Now to the Ship- Embarkation was Very Easy. Luggage dropoff right at the curb so didn't have to carry bags from taxi. Then the obligatory Security check which went smoothly. A stop by some friendly Customs agents and then in line to get your keys. We got to the port around 12:30 pm so maybe we beat the crowds but it was all very easy. First of many photos taken as we boarded.

The Ship- Colorful is not quite adequate to describe her. It is very festive and let's say exuberant. I personally liked it a lot but others have said gaudy. Pharaohs Palace was a nice venue for the shows. Dining room has cool paintings on the ceiling. I loved the atrium. Open from deck two to the glass roof at top of the ship. Very Cool. Everything was clean and seemed to be well maintained. So good job to the crew for that. Our room was a balcony cabin 7144 on the Left side of the boat. It had two twins pushed together for a king size bed, the couch turned into a bed and one bed folded down from the wall to form bunk beds. Very Space efficient. We had our steward fold everything up during the day to give us more room to move. One thing I'm always amazed with in ships is space efficiency. Luggage and clothes for 4 unloaded and put away totally out of sight.
