Ship Facts: Carnival Conquest Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Conquest Deck Plans
Carnival Conquest - Western Caribbean

This was our third Carnival cruise and probably our last! Carnival used to be the "Holiday Inn" of the industry, now it has become the "Motel Six"..........

The July 17th sailing turned out to be a "cruise from Hell" for the 5 of us. The ports of call were made even more unpleasant because of 5 other cruise ships in port at the same time......You could hardly move in the shops.................

Because of hurricane Emily which passed thru the Yucatan on Monday, we didn't go to Jamaica (even tho other Carnival ships did) and they gave us a whopping $25 per person refund. In Grand Cayman, it poured rain the whole day and the excursion we had paid for should have been cancelled but was not........We went to "Stingray City" for about 15 minutes before the close lightning strikes caused most of us (but not all) back onto the boat.........this was a very dangerous situation......our boat even had metal fishing rigging sticking up all around the far, Carnival has refused any refund for a trip cut short............Cozumel was more heavy rain with 10,000 people from 6 cruise ships all crowding into town to shop...........

The food was generally very average with a couple of exceptions. The full ship had 3600 people onboard which was also a hassle......... NOT a very pleasant trip!!
