We travelled from Venice to Barcelona on the Grand. This was our first cruise in 6 years and our first time on Princess. Maybe things have changed in the past few years, but we were disappointed with all the additional charges. Our teenagers were not happy that ice cream cost $3.75. I was unimpressed with having to pay for fresh orange juice, exercise classes, casino drinks, drinking water (the tap water was disgusting), internet use and decent meals.

I thought the food was appalling. We only tried the dining room 3 times and then gave up. At least at the buffet we had more choice as to which bad food to have. I was willing to try Sabatini's, however, my husband absolutely refused to pay an additional charge to get a 'decent' meal. We found the service in the dining room and the horizon court average.

Our room steward was excellent. She was always pleasant and went out of her way to be helpful.
