Check-In: (10 out of 10) - Went to the port very early (I do that) and checked in our luggage - Very friendly and efficient staff made this a breeze. We didn't know our cabin in advance and they found it quickly, tagged out luggage and we were sent to the main terminal. At the passenger check-in, we were there too early to enter so we waited for about 15 minutes outside the terminal. Once the doors were opened, we went through security (very thorough while friendly, quick and efficient) and were then ushered to a line to wait for the official check-in start (it was air conditioned inside). We passed the time talking with a very pleasant security guard.

Once the stations opened, they started checking folks in. The woman (really a girl but hey, I'm 51 and they all seem way too young lately) was once again (like just about everyone we met) friendly, quick an efficient. Within a few minutes we were on our way onboard. Just a quick note, if you book a pre-cruise package with NCL, you have an expedited check-in and zoom through.

Boarding: (10 out of 10) - Once past the TWO boarding photo stations, and lei greeting we walked (OK - I almost ran) onboard. We were greeted by the cruise directors' staff (Look for Fifth - he's a hoot and will be seen making fun times all week) with applause as we boarded. They really made us feel welcome with their smiles and demeanor. Since the rooms were not yet ready, we went to the show lounge to hear Julie, the port and excursion director give a quick talk about the upcoming ports we would hit. Shortly thereafter, Clint Wells (the cruise director) came in and let us all get to our rooms. Clint is really a great and friendly guy and you'll see him all over the ship all week long. Read more
