Where to start ... got to the pier at 2:00 and didn't make it on the ship till about 3:10 - very long process to get on the ship. long lines and we even registered online and had a "fun pass" issued thinking it would expedite the process but it did not. people who weren't registered got in quicker than we did! Once we got off the first line there was another line then a final line to get on the ship. When we received our sail and sign cards, we discovered we were registered for the late seating, although we requested the earliest seating. We immediately went to the dining room to fix our problem and discovered a hoard of people with the same problem as us! no apologies or explanations as to why this mishap occurred. we were told they would do their "best" to accommodate our request for a switch and weren't sympathetic to the fact that my mother and our family friend were diabetics and had to eat early. we were told a slip would be under our door that night and we should arrive at our assigned time and dining room with our family friends (who by the way were registered also for the late seating and in a separate dining room despite us requesting the same table and time and dining room while booking).

We were scheduled to leave NYC at 5 p.m. but did not leave until 6:45. no announcement was made as to why we didn't leave when expected. when two men in white suits were asked why we weren't leaving, they answered "don't know" and walked away. Not very helpful. by the time we left port it was time to eat and so we made our way to our assigned dining room and met another family who had the same problem as us. They were in a party of 12 and the party was split in half and given two different times and dining rooms. once again, no answers were given as to why this happened and no apologies. when we arrived at our room that night, we had no slip under the door telling us that they accommodated our request for a switch.

That night we went to see their "Las Vegas style" production and had a great time. Great singing and dancing however fellow passengers were rude by talking and not clapping at the end of each song.
